Re-release of The Dragnet Case

The process of converting The Dragnet Case from PAWS to DAAD is finally complete. To make the most of the extra capabilities of the DAAD platform new location graphics have been designed. Since DAAD also performs much better text compression additional descriptions and actions have been implemented. A few of the areas where players could get trapped forever have been altered to make this less likely to happen. A number of bugs in the original code have been identified and squashed. Currently, the 48K Spectrum version is text only as there is no support for the raster images now being used.

Initially, the plan was to upload the new version here, but what to do with the existing versions? Delete them, leave them. In the end to avoid confusion a new site has been created for the re-released version. The new site can be found here . The benefit of moving over to DAAD has been the wider range of targets that can be supported.

None of this would have been possible without the awesome development team behind DAAD and DAAD Ready who have swiftly fixed a number of small bugs and have patiently answered some of my daftest of questions.
